Acoustic monitoring of cetaceans

Using installed optical fiber as a distributed sensor, the system identifies acoustic patterns characteristic of different cetacean species. Detections feed a mitigation protocol that automatically triggers operational pauses during seismic activity in areas of confirmed presence.

The project combined acoustic cataloging, classification by proprietary algorithms and alert structuring for the technical team — delivering greater observational coverage and a consolidated technical reference for offshore environmental applications.
