In an increasingly demanding operational scenario, Immer Messen applied its phase-based DAS technology for continuous monitoring along the entire asset. The solution identified events with sub-5-meter localization precision, integrating with the customer's SCADA and delivering real-time alerts to the operations team. Result: up to 80% reduction in response time compared with traditional inspections.

Integration with the existing infrastructure was a key project point. The optical fiber used for monitoring is the same already installed in the operation — no need for duplication, excavation or replacement. The DATS interrogator performed simultaneous DAS and DTS measurements, delivering acoustic and thermal information on the same cable.

The data generated by the system feeds customized operational dashboards, enabling trend analysis, correlation with external variables and audit evidence generation. The architecture scales to extend monitoring to other sections with minimal incremental investment.
